Range Rover LED Headlights Retrofit is Adapter designed to retrofit pre-MY2018 Range Rover L405 and Range Rover Sport L494 with facelift Model year 2018 and up LED (Light Emmiting Diode) headlights.
Adapter supports all LED headlamps variants: LED PREMIUM, LED MATRIX, LED PIXEL and LED PIXEL LASER.
Retrofit Adapter supplied with special software for initial startup of headlights (configuring, level calibration, reading Diagnostic Trouble Codes, perform test functions) without using any JLR diagnostic equipment.
Adapter converts all necessary data (CAN and LIN bus messages) from car to new LED headlights for achieving all AFS (Advanced Frontlight System) full functionality.
- City mode – operates below 48 km/h (30 mph).
- Country mode – operates between 49 km/h (30.5 mph) and 110 km/h (68 mph).
- Adverse Weather mode – operates below 64 km/h (40 mph).
- Motorway mode – operates above 110 km/h (68 mph).
- Cornering lights – operates below 40 km/h
- AHB (Automatic High Beam) activates when the vehicle’s speed exceeds 40 km/h (25 mph). System deactivates when the vehicle’s speed reduces to 24 km/h (15 mph) or less.
- SLHB (Supplementary Laser High Beam ) where the beam extends the range of the high beam. This is activated at speeds above 80 km/h (50 mph). The laser supplementary high beam automatically deactivates when the vehicle speed reduces to 75 km/h (47 mph) or less.
- Lock/unlock headlights animation.

Range Rover LED Headlights variations
- The standard Premium LED headlight package has 24 LEDs per vehicle, with Signature Running Lights and optional Auto High Beam Assist.
- The state-of-the-art Matrix LED light system with 52 LEDs offers the next level of functionality by splitting the beam into vertical strips that can be controlled individually and allow for use of the high and low beam at the same time. This is achieved by casting up to four vertical shadows in front of the vehicle to prevent it dazzling approaching road users without the need to dip the main beam. The advanced set-up can be optimised for town, country and motorway driving, as well as bad weather.
- Pixel LED lighting delivers complete control of 142 individual LEDs. It maximises the amount of light the new Range Rover Sport projects onto the road by splitting the main beam pattern vertically and horizontally. This enables up to four higher definition shadows to avoid dazzling multiple vehicles ahead. This headlight option incorporates Bending Lights which operate at higher speeds to direct the main beam pattern according to the direction of steering.
- This lighting is complemented by a new Pixel-Laser High Beam, which projects a precise and constant light more than 500 metres ahead thanks to 144 LEDs and four laser diodes. For night driving and at speeds of 80km/h or more, the powerful system provides exceptional forward visibility and advanced warning of potential obstacles. The intelligent system automatically dims when other vehicles are detected.
