Attention!

Pre-facelift W222 / W205 / W253 / W217 / W213 / W238 vehicles with driver assistance systems and a LIN-bus steering column have a vibration motor in the steering wheel. These vehicles require our earlier version — MB W222 Steering Wheel Retrofit Adapter with vibration motor output — when installing a new steering wheel with vibration support.

  • Versatility: No need to choose a specific adapter model anymore. MB UNI supports the installation of W222 Facelift, W223 (STAR3), and W213 Facelift (STAR2) steering wheels.
  • Connection compatibility: Supports steering columns operating on CAN FD, CAN, and LIN communication buses.
  • DISTRONIC** : Supports the new adaptive cruise control logic, which is important for the correct operation of driver assistance systems.
  • Vibration motor emulation: The adapter can emulate the steering wheel vibration motor presence to prevent errors in the system. The new steering wheel does not have a built-in vibration motor. The vibration alert functionality has been moved to the steering rack.
  • Plug & Play: Easy installation that does not require any interference with the car’s standard wiring.

ATTENTION! Functionality depends on the original equipment of the vehicle and supported systems. The adapter only supports the functions that are available in the vehicle configuration.

**In older models with a LIN column, the Distronic/Cruise function does not work from the steering wheel; it is not possible to have it work with the old steering column module, because of the different architecture. The LIN bus is limited to audio and instrument cluster functions only. So driving assistance still works from the steering column stalk.
